In this second edition of Nature & Artifice, we return to the same fundamental question: how can design reconcile the organic and the engineered, the ancestral and the algorithmic?

The new models continue this exploration with renewed clarity. Each one begins where a tree once anchored itself—in a root, complex and irregular. From this raw, unrepeatable geometry, we extract data, form, and possibility. Using high-resolution scans and parametric design, we shape counterparts that do not seek to dominate nature, but to respond to it.

These pieces are not imitations of roots—they are dialogues. Between what grows and what is made. Between chaos and control. Between the forest floor and the designer’s screen.

Each table in this series is a numbered object—a singular convergence of craftsmanship, code, and the living memory of wood.
